The anomalies archaeologists and researchers find here are very similar to all the other ancient sites around the world. Here again, I consider that academia is misidentifying impressions as carving due to lack of data. The mechanism for the markings is quite apparent in some areas while in others they appear random and of no obvious purpose. Some of the impressions here at Lion Rock are comparable to the "quarry" areas of the pre-Inca and Egypt. Fairly regular impressions cut right across the Lion Rock plateau, these various rectangular shapes have researchers speculating that these people also had the ability to soften the rock. It shows everyone can understand that the material must have been soft when these ancient people were working with it, but they are missing the bigger picture.

The markings agree with something being pressed into the soft surface.  Or the structure increased or was growing around the object, in some places we could be seeing the impressions of the cell-block transitional areas. Researchers logically and correctly assess that the material must have been soft when the markings were made, but then they wrongly assume that the material was hard at that moment also, consequently thinking is confined to the employment of a stone softening process.

The impressions are all over this plateau; some people say monks made these marks so walking would be easier. To me, in these two images above it appears that there could have been an ancient set of steps here where the current steps are situated, these marks seem consistent with the weight of some type framework pressing down on the softer material.

We can also see quality carving like this vertical channel running vertically down the side of the structure high on the plateau, apparently cut for drainage

It is plausible the structure was covered in walkways and dwellings leading to the top. The impressions could be the result of the supporting structure pressing into the biological material beneath.

Here we see something that supports my explanation of these impressions, to the left of the image you can see pillars or blocks still in their holes supporting the structure above, but you have to remember this wasn't stone, everything has lithified.  Whatever is going on here whether man made, part of the biological process, or a combination of both, it is nothing like mainstream science and archaeology would lead us to believe.

I believe as we dig deeper into the actual nature of these structures we may start to understand biological processes currently thought to be an impossibility to science. I believe that learning these structures will lead to better perception and clarity of pre-history, the visible links to mythology, ancient texts and possibly closer to the actual nature of reality and some of the basic fundamental questions that arise from the human condition. Although I do not have any formal qualifications in biology and geology, I have spent many hours studying both subjects and many years looking at these structures, theories, conspiracy theories and myths. Any mistakes I make are mine, and I have tried to represent the facts with accuracy and integrity to the best of my ability.

Sigiriya or Sīhāgiri, (the Lion Rock) is an ancient fortress located in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of "rock" nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 – 495 CE) for his new capital. The palace was built on the top of the plateau and a smaller plateau about halfway up there is a gateway in the form of a partially carved lion.

If we compare the strange 'stone' anomalies from different ancient temple sites, it appears we have impressions of the same mechanism or causation. Archaeologists believe these places are quarry sites or temple related structures; some believe they were sacrificial alters. I have come to call these structures 'stairways to nowhere'.

We can identify a mechanism for the impressions at Qenko ruins in Peru. Part of the polygonal block structure remains, and where the blocks are missing, we can see the impressions left. Mainstream archaeology would like us to believe the Inca carved the rock to fit the blocks. I consider that a lot of what is perceived to be cutting on various scales are the impressions of cell-blocks that are now lost to time; missing. There is also the possibility some of the marks we see around these sites are the result of man made structures pressing into the softer material.
